Under Construction!

We have been in the process of transforming the boys' bedroom from a "baby" room to a "big boy" room. One minor problem....we still technically have a baby that sleeps in a crib. (Seriously is 20 months old enough to sleep in a twin bed?)This is the progress we have made so far. Until I am brave enough to take Easton out of the crib, the rest will have to wait.

A year or so ago I found this picture and fell in love with it. The whole room will be centered around this saying.

I need honest opinions because I am not sure if I love the paint. The lower wall is a darker tan than the top..(unless you have eyes like John does and insist that it is practically the same color :0) I painted the whole back wall the darker tan...I am not sure if that is the reason I don't love it. Maybe it would look better all the same...ideas anyone?

On a side note, what mom cannot be proud of this! "Look how much food I can fit in my mouth."

The Story of my Life

Remove Easton from the table.

Turn the dishwasher back on for the millionth time...we need clean dishes and they just don't seem to be getting clean...I wonder why????

Get Easton off the table AGAIN!

Put Easton in Time Out for Being on the table. (He looks way to happy for time out!)

Finally.. he is somewhere safe....hurry get something done!

Seriously, no wonder I am exhausted at bed time!

Monster Dreams!

Coleton has started having dreams about monsters. This morning he asked me if I wanted to know what he dreamed about... this is what he said...
"I dreamed that there was a pink monster with purple underwear over his eyes and he was hungry but he couldn't see the people to eat them because of the underwear. So he ate the underwear and ate some fish."

Should I be worried that my son dreams about monsters and underwear?????

Oh My Heaven Hailey is Seven!

I can't believe it was seven years ago this morning that I was trying so hard NOT to have a baby because John was in California. But, when Hailey sets her mind to something there is no turning back..and so she came. John got the call at about 10 am to come to Utah as fast as possible. I am sure that the hours following my call were some of the longest of his life. I can picture him sitting in the airport with his leg bouncing a million miles an hour. About 4:30 that afternoon, the nurse told me we couldn't wait any longer. I was to a seven and that was really too far considering I was having a C-section. My reply..."John is at 4500 S. PLEASE JUST WAIT!" And so they did. John reached the hospital, they dressed him in the space suit and in we went to have our precious baby.
She is such a kind person and we are so glad she is part of our family!!

My Weekend Project

First, I will apologize for the crappy pictures. My camera died and my video camera will not upload pictures to my computer. I am holding out for a nice camera, so my trusty old phone camera had to do the job.

On Thursday, I was driving Coleton to preschool and realized that we have now lived in our home for three years and I have yet to paint anything! I was sick...the lack of painting was not for lack of desire, but John talks me out of it every time I bring it up. I dropped Coleton off and headed straight to Home Depot. I bought some paint and I got right to it...without mentioning it to John. I love her room now...the white line and pink just added the newness I have needed. Watch out house...and John...I am going to be a painting maniac!
