Dance Concert

Yesterday was Hailey's dance concert. She did a great job. She loved being on stage. She said it only felt like she was on stage for one minute, and she wanted to do her dance again. We loved watching her dance. Coleton liked watching her, but he got pretty bored with the rest of it. I wanted to tell him, "just get used to it, it is only beginning." Easton hated the whole thing. He could not sit still . Next time, I need to remember more fruit snacks and cherrios.

Webkins

Anyone that has talked to Hailey in the last few months knows about her webkinz. Well, today is one of her Webkinz birthday. She has been planning a birthday party for what seems like forever! She has used the extra wrapping paper every time I wrapped a gift, she looked for recipes for birthday cakes, etc. She insisted on serving strawberry jello with whipped cream and strawberries on top. She even got into a nice dress for the party.
Our cute neighbors came over and Hailey took charge of the party. She told about her webkin, we ate her "cake" and played games. She cracks us up!!!!

Happy Father's Day

Today we had a very relaxing Father's Day. The kids made John breakfast. (with a little bit of help from mom.) Hailey knew exactly what John wanted for breakfast....and there was no convincing her otherwise. John picked out his main gift this year, but I thought I would be a good wife and surprise him with a small gift. Surprise to me....Coleton already told him all about it. I guess the only surprise John had today was a card from Hailey that had a big "BYU" on the inside. It was almost all blue, but she added a little bit of red to be funny. (She has a lot of her dad in her.)

A little bit of mush...

John, thank you so much for being a great dad and husband. You are the backbone of our family. It is amazing to me how much love you show to each one of us everyday. I love you!

A Day of Golf

Today we went miniature golfing. Hailey was surprisingly very good. Coleton....well put it this way, we learned very quickly to stay out of his way while he was armed with a club.

Notice the pink club and the pink ball.....
does that surprise you?

"Are Mom & Dad ever going to come?"
"I don't know...are they still here?"

ROAR

They (whoever "They" is) say the joy in motherhood comes in small moments. Today I had one of those moments. (Amazing I know.) I was busy getting the things I needed to done when I realized Coleton had his dinosaurs out and was playing with Easton. They were playing so cute. This is a big deal because for the longest time Easton would scream whenever Coleton came near him. Coleton is famous for taking the toy Easton has...Easton then screams, and Coleton hurries and finds another toy to give Easton to make him stop screaming.

Thank heavens for moments like these!

When dad got home he joined in the fun. For some odd reason, when dad started to play the dinosaurs became a lot more violent.

Sweet Summertime

Honestly, is summer ever going to get here??? We got tired of waiting, so we went swimming anyway. (Thanks to my parents for heating the pool to 90 degrees!!) The kids had a blast. Easton absolutely loved the water. Hailey actually put her head under the water and swam....hooray! Coleton only required his life jacket this year instead of life jacket/ water wings/ and floaty! He even got brave and went down the slide all by himself. (and yes, Coleton is pretending to be a pirate in this picture.)
