Look at ME I am 3!

After a whole LOT of persuasion, Easton is now 3. For weeks before his birthday he did NOT want to be 3. He was 2 and that was FINAL! The day before his birthday I took him to the store and let him pick out his own gifts to try and help the SWEET child want a birthday....it did the TRICK. He is now a very happy 3 year old. (I know there are a ton of pictures, but I just can't help myself, his expressions are priceless to me.)

Back to School

Hello 3rd Grade!!! Oh Hailey is so excited for this year. It is a big year! Cursive, multiplication, division, oh my!

Hello Kindergarten...my heart is broken that he is this old!

My two elementary schoolers

This picture breaks my heart. It was taken just before his teacher marched them into class. I am so happy he didn't break down and cry, but oh it looks like he just might!

After school...the bus was his favorite part...and he looks so much happier.

And now, the countdown to off track begins!

July

July has been such a fun and busy month! Really does it get any more relaxing?

After all of the relaxing came the camping. I am not much of a camper, but our kids love it so I really don't have much say;)
We enjoyed a family reunion with John and his family up Little Cottonwood Canyon. That family knows how to plan activities. The kids were in heaven. We Tye-dyed matching shirts, had hula hooping contests, made walking sticks, hiked up to Cecret Lake, had a talent show, and even a marshmallow war. (There were marshmallows on my car for an entire week after this trip...somebody really needs to clean her car more often.)
Easton and his walking stick. He was so proud of that thing until John took it and carved a place to hold onto the stick. Easton was so mad at John. He tossed the stick and would not use it at all after that.

Hello poser!

Easton loved the rodents

Hula Hoop Contest!

Here is the exact reason I don't like camping, it is impossible to keep anyone or anything semi-clean.

On the way up to Cecret Lake, there was snow! Well, it is impossible for John to see snow and not start a snowball fight, so everyone cooled off by having snow shoved in their faces...curdesy of John and his brother.

At the lake, there is a place that I swear always has snow. (Well both times I have been to the lake, there was snow there.) John had the great idea of sliding down the hill. It was hilarious. I was standing on the opposite side of the lake with Easton, and people would walk by and say things like, "Oh my, someone is sliding down that glacier, and Oh no, that isn't so smart." I was thinking the later comment, but luckily everyone survived with only minor cuts and bruises...and a whole lot of laughs and good memories.

The next weekend was the Ashby Reunion. We just joined in the fun for a short time on Saturday, but the kids had fun seeing cousins. It always amazes me that the kids don't see the 2nd cousins all that often, but it doesn't matter, they just pick up right where they left of and play.

And the next weekend was the Jensen Family Campout. We went up to the Granite Flats Campground. It was relaxing...so relaxing that I was horrible at taking pictures. Everyone but Grandma, Easton, and I enjoyed a very long 4 wheeler ride and then everyone had fun at the lake.
