a QUIET morning?

This morning was one of the weirdest mornings of my life, seriously. John left for work, I sent Hailey on the bus to school, twenty minutes later I sent Coleton to preschool with the carpool, cleaned up breakfast and then put Easton down for a nap. I shut Easton's bedroom door and stood in the hall thinking now what? The house was quiet for two hours. I walked around like a lost puppy! I finally decided I might as well enjoy the time and pulled out some sewing. (The project from last Christmas that I never finished.) I am honestly not sure how to feel about my kids getting so old! Part of me is excited and part of me is just plain sick!

Yeah...that is weird!! I can understand why you would be "lost". If only time would slow down!

It is the same for me in the afternoon, but lately Banks is not napping,so it is fun to spend some alone time with just him. I saw your sister at Max's football. He just loves Marcus! I tried to explain to Max how I new Marcus' mom. His reply was, "Marcus and I could've been cousins - cool!" We need to get together sometime!

Good for you. Even though both kids have been in school for awhile, I still get a little disoriented when the kids leave and the house is quiet. While I wouldn't wish for my kids to grow up any faster than they are now, I do look forward to those times when I can just....be!

It is the same for me on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. The girls go to preschool and my house is so quiet. You think that I would work! But I don't.....sometimes. That is funny that we have the same background.

Wow those times don't exist for me. And of course your house was spotless so you just get free time. I would have been trying to make a dent in my hurricane.

I love the new look! I am so excited for halloween. I love seeing all of the kids in there costumes. I am excited for you and your quiet morning. I love the two hours I get while Aniston is at school. Before we know it we will have all day to hang out and do crafts. Talk to you soon.

It is so weird huh? That happened to me on Tuesday, probably for the first time and I thought it was so strange! I think I might end up having a really productive year! At least my unfinished craft closet will be less full!

Pretty soon you'll fill all the time with projects and you'll wonder how you got anything done before. Then you'll wish you had more time. Or maybe that's just me. It is kind of sad when they grow up, but I still love the quiet.

Hi Holly

I found you off Susan's blog. I have the same thing going. Two in school all day, one in preschool and the other naps during preschool. I still haven't really gotten used to it and usually wander a bit wondering what I should do with my time! haha
