I have to record this so I can remember it in the not so sweet times.:) Today Easton and I were out running errands. We saw a firetruck and then the fireman with a gurney. Easton asked what they were doing.(I think he was mostly wondering why there were firemen and not a fire) I told him it looked like someone got hurt. He said, "oh they have to help him because his mom isn't there to kiss it better..." So sweet!! In his mind it is that simple!
This year the kids decided...with a bit of coaxing...to make their own valentines. It was so fun. We spent an afternoon making them. Good Memories! Hailey made flower valentines. She didn't love making her own. She is all about getting things done and checking them off her list! Coleton made super hero valentines. He made these pretty much all by himself. We found the pattern off of a website and he did all the cutting, gluing, punching holes, etc. Easton played cars while we made his, but hey his were the most work! He sure was happy to take them to preschool though! (we got all of these ideas off of www.skiptomylou.org)
Coleton played Jr Jazz Basketball again this year. He loves sports! This year he played on a team with several of his good friends so it was super fun! He was so funny to watch because he totally got the whole defense thing...not so much the offense thing. The guy he was guarding never got a chance to touch the ball, but on offense he just wanted to be the first one down the court under the basket...then he was good.
