Easter Weekend

We woke up on Thursday morning excited to start our Easter break and found a good 6 inches of snow outside. Instead of pulling out our short sleeve shirts and flip flops, we pulled our gloves and snow pants on and went outside to enjoy the snow. I am excited for summer to come, but I do love the snow. I love to sled and I love having "tame" snowball fights. The constant giggling that goes along with these two activities melts my heart. The kids stayed outside playing for most of the day. They had a fantastic day relaxing in the snow instead of on the beach:)

Friday was pretty uneventful. We did dye Easter eggs during Easton's nap, but because I am in the running for mother of the year, I didn't take any pictures. On Friday night Easton did provide us with some entertainment though. Oh how I wish I took a picture, but because of the indecent exposure I didn't. I went to bed and John went to check on the kids one more time before going to bed. He came in and got me out of bed and told me to go look at Easton. My first thought was, "Oh no, where could he be this time?" Amazingly, he was tucked in his bed fast asleep. It wasn't until John pulled down his covers that I understood. Easton was totally and completely naked. He had taken off his pj's and diaper and then crawled into bed. I tell you this kids keeps things interesting.
On Saturday we enjoyed conference and an Easter Egg hunt in between the sessions at Grandma and Grandpas house. We love all the candy around this house.

Saturday was also Hailey's BFF's birthday party. They got to ride in a limo to the Grand America Hotel for brunch. She loved getting dressed up like a princess and riding in a limo.

Easter morning was soooo exciting. Easton was the first to wake up. He went downstairs and found, in his words, "A BIG MESS." He came back upstairs and woke up Hailey explaining what a disaster downstairs was. Hailey tried to explain to him that the Easter Bunny came. He hates Santa and the Easter Bunny. He kept saying, "No, the Easter Bunny not come, Bob the Builder come." All day long if anyone asked him if the Easter Bunny came to his house, he would insist the Easter Bunny did not come and that it was bob. The Bunny left a trail of eggs from the bedroom doors to their baskets. They were full of Jell-o beans as Easton calls them.

On Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed an egg hunt at Grandma Winn's house. The kids had a great time playing with cousins. Too bad I was awful at taking pictures and only took this one. :)
